The capital of Greece, Athens is host to the 28th Olympiad taking place from 13th to 29th August 2004. Apart from Athens, there are another four Olympic designated cities including: Thessaloniki (capital of the northern Greece and second largest city in the country), Patra (third largest city in Greece), Volos and Heraklion (Crete).
