Epirus is one of the most picturesque, unspoiled and uncommercialised regions situated in the northwest of the country. The area is geared up for every type of conference and especially incentives due to its diverse landscape. For a post-conference high, Epirus, would make a good base from where to explore the region. A five-day itinerary can easily be planned around a number of activities guaranteed to get your adrenalin going.
While in Epirus the Vikos-Aoos National Forest – part of the Vallia – Kalda National Forest – is of great ecological value containing a number of rare ecosystems and excellent for an adrenalin fix. Crossing the Vikos Ravine is a unique experience as it takes five hours visiting some amazing scenery.
The next few days can be spent exploring the area’s endemic fauna and flora and activities such as white water rafting, kayaking, hiking and mountain climbing!
One trip not to be missed is a journey to mythological Hell! Take a boat up the river Styx to the mouth of Hades and walk on the Necromantium, to meet Cerberus! An excellent excursion into ancient mythology and lunch can be taken on the banks of the river. The afternoon can be spent relaxing on the beach or exploring the village and the beautiful orange and olive groves.
