Dodecanese

The Dodecanese, are situated in the easternmost most tip of Greece, was once the crossroads to the Middle East.  Waves of conquerors passed through Rhodes, and left their timeless signs on the island; including the Grand Master’s Palace.  Rhodes was the site of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world – the Colossus that stood at the entrance to the harbour- holding a torch symbolising the sun Helios.

Whereas in Kos, Hippocrates discovered a great secret; that sickness is unnatural life and that health is living according to the rhythms of nature. It was here that Hippocrates, set-up the first ever hospital.  Today, the Hippocratic oath can be taken at the original site.

The Dodecanese is a complex of over 163 islands. Almost every island has its Classical remains, its Crusaders’ Castle, and its traditional villages in a region where eastern and western cultures have wonderfully blended for many centuries. All the above have established them as the ideal conference venues. In Rhodes and Kos conventions can be held in venues that range from ancient open – air theatres to medieval palaces and state of the art modern hotels and resorts.
