This 5-star deluxe resort hotel complex is located on a private peninsula, 20 minutes from the City and the Heraklion International Airport and next to the traditional fishing village of Aghia Pelaghia. The hotel looks like a Cretan Village and consists of 2 main hotels (out of which one is the Sofitel Capsis Palace Hotel) and 3 bungalow sets forming “Cretan neighbourhoods” and is surrounded by a vast park of 167.000 sq. m. / 1.796.920 sq. ft., beautiful Aegean views, extensive gardens, green pathways, Ancient Greek Ruins from the Minoan Times, lakes, ponds, cascades, waterfalls, a river, 3 beaches (1 private), and the largest private zoo in Greece. The hotel has also 3 greenhouses and large areas for the production of organically grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers that are used at the hotel restaurants and bars. The beautiful Cretan style has been combined with the modern Mediterranean architecture in order to create a complete atmosphere of traditional comfort and European luxury. The Zeus Restaurant:
The main restaurant of the hotel in a spacious indoor and outdoor dining room with an open–air sea view veranda. It proposes rich buffets with Greek and International cuisine including vegetarian and dietary dishes. This restaurant operates all year round: 1.200 persons indoors & outdoors.
The El Greco Gourmet Restaurant:
This Restaurant offers a la carte Greek and International dishes in an exclusive environment decorated with antique and old Cretan furniture. Soft piano music accompanies the guests during evening hours. It operates all year round: 260 persons indoors & outdoors.
The Poseidon Taverna:
A traditional Greek taverna located at the beachfront of Aghia Pelaghia overlooking the sea, decorated and furnished with a Greek regional touch. It serves traditional Cretan & Greek specialties, fresh seafood, local desserts and Greek wines. It operates all year round (during the winter period the indoor area operates only for private functions): 620 persons indoors & outdoors.
The Knossos Restaurant:
A theme restaurant decorated with frescoes influenced by the Minoan civilization. It is ideal for reception cocktails, gala dinners, theme parties & special events. It operates all year round for private functions: 650 persons indoors & outdoors.
The Muses Restaurant:
A beautiful restaurant with an indoor pool ideal for private events, reception cocktails, gala dinners, theme parties & special events. It operates all year round for private functions: 600 persons indoors & outdoors.
The Ikaros Lobby Bar:
This is the lobby bar located by the indoor waterfalls in the lobby area with a veranda overlooking the sea and the gardens, offering drinks and snacks. It operates all year round: 120 persons indoors & outdoors.
The Adonis Main Bar:
An indoor and outdoor bar and lounge with panoramic views to the bays of Aghia Pelaghia and Cladissos, offering various cocktails. It operates all year round: 1.250 persons indoors & outdoors.
The Helios Pool Bar:
Is located near the swimming pool and the gardens and it offers snacks, juices, home made ice cream and refreshing cocktails. It operates only during the summer period: 600 persons outdoors.
The Daedalos Pool Bar:
Is located near the Daedalos swimming pool with a majestic view to the Aegean, offering a la carte menu with Mediterranean specialties. It operates only during the summer period: 300 persons outdoors.
The Cladissos Beach & Snack Bar:
A tropical style bar, which is located on the private beach of the hotel and is ideal for any event. Delicious fresh snacks, delightful desserts and a large selection of fresh fruit juices. It operates only during the summer period: 800 persons outdoors.
The Cladissos Cliff Bar:
Is located on the cliffs next to the sea in front of the private Cladissos Beach of the hotel and is ideal for cocktails and receptions. It operates only during the summer period, for private functions: 150 persons indoors.
The Sofitel Palace Pool Bar:
The private Sofitel Palace pool located under the hotel private chapel and surrounded by beautiful gardens comprises the ideal venue for hosting a drinks reception or an evening buffet or served dinner: over 300 persons outdoors.
The Capsis Disco Bar:
The Disco offers international dance music, professional animation programs, cocktails and spirits. It operates all year round: 150 persons indoors
The Souda Garden:
A vast green area surrounded by natural gardens, regional flowers, palm trees and fountains, it offers striking views of the sea. Perfect venue for dinners under the stars. It operates all year round: 1.200 persons outdoors.
The Swan Lake area:
A beautiful open-air green area next to a lake with swans. Ideal for drink receptions, standing finger buffets and aperitifs. It operates during the summer period: 500 persons outdoors.
The Molos Area:
A seaside area located between the Cladissos Beach and the Zeus Restaurant. Adequate space and concept to host day team building activities as well as evening functions by the sea. It operates during the summer period: 600 persons outdoors.
The Open-Air Amphitheatre:
Built in the standards of the Ancient Greek Theatres, on the edge of Hotel’s peninsula, it can host welcome receptions combined with a speech, spectacular laser or fireworks shows. It operates during the summer period: 500 persons outdoors.

The largest banqueting capacity in the hotel is: 1.200 persons indoors and 3.000 persons outdoors. The hotel prides itself on its superb catering and banqueting facilities and services inside as well as outside the hotel property.
